Together against the flu.
Influenza should not be taken lightly.
For certain people (such as infants, the elderly, pregnant women and people suffering from chronic diseases), its course can be anything but harmless and may even lead to serious complications.
The vaccine can protect from the flu and its complications as well as prevent transmission of the influenza virus to persons close to you – good reasons to get vaccinated.
This site answers questions about seasonal influenza and the influenza vaccine, and demonstrates how best to protect yourself.
The flu is back
According to Sentinel surveillance data, the national epidemic threshold has now been passed. This means that the annual flu epidemic has begun. This year the most common virus circulating in Switzerland is A/H3N2. It is still possible to be vaccinated against the flu virus. And the risk of transmitting or catching the virus can be reduced by carefully following prevention and hygiene measures.
